5 Resolutions to make you feel great this year:

  • Nix Negative Body Talk: your harshest critic is yourself. If you go easier on your personal expectations, you’re success will come easier. The more you stress yourself out about those pesky 5lbs, the less your body will want to part with them.
  • Snack Smarter: The unnecessary calories from our diet typically come from the in-between-meal snacks. Vow to pre-portion your healthy snacks so you can just grab and go and not worry about the extra calories.
  • Spend More Time Outdoors: The health benefits of exercising outside are enormous. In addition to absorbing more Vitamin D from sunlight exposure — which has been shown to alleviate depression and food cravings, among other things — being in nature can make you feel more relaxed and less anxious.
  • Sprint!: Shorter more intense workouts provide better training results. Add a sprint workout (20min or less at 80% intensity) every other day.
  • Diversify: Incorporate 3 physical activities into your training routine. Don’t just make running your “thing.” Focusing on one type of exercise lets our bodies get used to it and training plateaus over time.
